The grand winner of our Beverly Hills poetry contest is 17-year old Missy!
Unfortunately no picture is available, due to a "Krakatoa-size zit,"
but heres her poem....
Everyone
probably thinks that we’re a bunch of spoiled brats,
Just
a rerun of Brandon, Brenda and the whole pack,
So to show the world that we’re real people, too,
Here’s a glimpse into our world, just for you.
Wake
up late Monday morning, but no need to worry,
My new Benz will get me to class in a hurry.
Drive in to school with N’Sync blaring and coffee in hand
So the rest of the plebeians can gawk at how cool I really am.
Get
to Mrs. Jones’ class ten minutes late
But she says nothing, just looks at me with hate,
Because she knows my daddy is the CEO of his own corporation
And he can have her fired with just one exclamation.
On
my way to the next class I see Tiffany in her new Gucci dress,
Have to rush home to change, I can’t be outdressed!
Get back to school just in time for lunch, which I skip,
Because the cafeteria salad adds inches to my hips.
As
I head to my English test, which I will fail,
I meet Jen who tells me about the Neiman Marcus sale.
Didn’t I just say I would fail the exam because it’s so hard?
So we head to Rodeo Dr. to exercise our credit card.
So
that’s our typical day, I hope you enjoyed it much,
And I hope that you can see that we’re just a regular bunch.
